Frequently Asked Questions

What Happens if I choose to have my eyelash extensions removed?

We have a gel remover that dissolves the adhesive. Please Do NOT pick your lashes off as this will cause damage to your natural lash line.

Do I have to do anything to prepare for the service?

Please come to your lash appointment with your lashes squeaky clean. If your lashes are 'dirty' (mascara, or any other build up) we will ask that you wash your lashes. If we clean your lashes, this takes away from lashing time.

How Do I choose the look I want?

We will have a consultation with you before any appointment to determine what look will be best for you.

How soon can I wash my face after the extensions are applied?

We recommend waiting 24 hours to get your lashes wet so the adhesive has time to cure and bond to your natural lashes.

Can I wear eye make-up still?

Yes! Many of our clients still wear eyeshadow and eyeliner. In fact, certain eyeshadows and powder will help soak up natural oils. We carry approved lash extension eyeliner for your convenience.

How often should I get fills?

Fills are recommended every 3 weeks. Your natural lashes are always growing and falling out. Fills will replace any extension that are loose or grown out and we will also add an extension to any new growth at this time as well.

Can I apply mascara to my eyelash extensions?

One of the advantages of eyelash extensions is never needing mascara again, However, if you feel the need to wear mascara, only water-based mascara can be used on the very tips of the extension. DO NOT USE OIL-BASED OR WATER-PROOF MASCARA. Waterproof mascara along with any type of oil based mascara will dissolve the adhesive and cause premature shedding. It also damages volume fans and weighs them down.

We carry mascara made for eyelash extensions for your convenience.

Can you describe the application process?

You will be comfortably laying with your eyes closed while your eyelash extensions are applied to your natural eyelashes. It generally takes 1.5-3 hours to apply a full set.(times vary based on the lash stylist and type of full set or fill appointment) The application is so relaxing that it is not uncommon for clients to fall asleep.

Is It damaging to my natural lash?

No- as long as your eyelash extensions are applied correctly, including length and diameter. Do not rub or pick your extensions out, this will cause premature shedding and can damage your natural lash line.

If I only have a few natural lashes, can I still get lash extensions?

Eyelash Extensions are adhered to natural lashes, which means that sparse lashes will benefit the most from Volume lashes.

How will they look or feel?

You may notice your extensions when they are initially done, but after wearing them for a day or two, you will find that you can't feel them.

What are the benefits of having lash extensions?

Our clients love that they can throw out their mascara and wake up effortlessly gorgeous. It makes getting ready in the morning so much faster!

Are there different color lashes?

Yes! we carry black and brown lashes along with an assortment of bright colors that can be used for highlights.

I got my lashes done somewhere else, can I still get a fill at Lash Love Studio?

Yes- We have 'New client fills" for clients that have â€‹lashes from a different lash studio. There are times when we are unable to fill other lash techs work, if this is the case we will discuss your alternatives at your appointment.

Can I swim, shower, exercise, or visit a spa while wearing eyelash extensions?

Yes! Do not get lashes wet (shower, cry, sweat, swim) for 24 hours to allow the adhesive to bond to your natural lashes. Do not get your lashes hot/steamy (spa, steam, tanning bed) for 24 hours. (please avoid eye creams for 24 hours before and after lash appointments)

*Direct heat from opening an oven, or using a blow dryer can singe the tips and soften the curl.

*Be gentle with your lashes.

*Avoid rubbing your eyes

*wash your eyes daily, blot dry, and use the "cool setting" on your blow dryer to 'fluff' them back up.

*DO NOT brush lashes while wet

*avoid all oil-based products and waterproof mascara.

*only use approved lash cleanser to clean lashes once every day. (rinse well, blot dry) If eye drops are used at night, lashes should be cleaned after!

We carry approved lash cleanser for your convenience.

*Don't use lash curler on extensions. Lash curlers will destroy volume fans and weigh them down.
